where is the *$#%^* book?! when I unzip it I get a bunch of other zipped files. when I try to unzip one of those, it just says the file is broken....

Unzip it to get 5 zipped files. All of them are not broken... Unzip all of them to get 5 parts of RAR-archive (.rar .00 .01 .02 .03). Extract file .rar with archivator RAR or another one supporting this format (7-Zip etc.).
I guess, if you get broken zip-file, you'll have to download whole thing again...
