This book is a god-send to the vet student. Traditional texts like Miller's Guide to the Dissection of the dog are excellent, but the hand-drawn "typical" picture looks nothing like the mutt you have in front of you. This gives you a colour photograph (those of you who have had experience of dissecting a preserved cadever will know how useful that is!) AND an accompanying anatomical drawing of the photo, not a typical "what you should see" drawing. The anatomical drawing is also in colour, with nerves, blood vessels and items of interest highlighted in separate colours.
