Comics Collector's Series: Marvel Feature Presents Red Sonja Complete

Marvel Feature was the name of two comic book series published by Marvel Comics in the 1970s. The first series, previously posted here in AvaxHome, featured in its first issue the origin of the Marvel Universe superhero team The Defenders.

This, the second series, featured Red Sonja, a supporting character from the ancient fantasy world of Conan the Barbarian. It was published for only seven issues, from November 1975 until November 1976. Issue #6 entitled "Beware the Sacred Sons of Set" sets off a 5-issue story arc that crosses over into Conan the Barbarian #66-67, goes back to issue #7 for a 7-page sword fight between Red Sonja and Conan the Barbarian, and that finally concludes in Conan the Barbarian #68. Red Sonja then received her own self-titled series in January 1977. This brief series was the first such for Red Sonja in her own solo adventures, and where her bikini-like costume of scale-mail, originally conceived by Esteban Maroto became permanently associated with her character.
