Little scientific investigation has been directed toward the camp Lublin-Majdanek in central Poland, even though orthodox Holocaust sources claim that between 50,000 and over a million Jews were murdered there. Until the appearance of Concentration Camp Majdanek, the only works on Majdanek were authored by historians serving or trained under Poland’s communist regime.
