Curtiss Aircraft, 1907-1947

Description

A complete history of the pioneer work of Glenn Curtiss and of the subsequent companies which bore his name. Through the 1920s and 30s Hawks, Falcons Shrikes and Helldivers achieved worldwide reputations, whilst for the civil market there was the Robin light aircraft and the Condor Sleeper Transport. During the second world war there were a range of single seater fighters including the P-36, P-40 Tomahawk and Kittyhawk along with C-46 Commando transport, SB2C Helldivers, Seagull, Seamew and Seahawk.
