Современное руководство по биохимии, написанное известным американским ученым Дэвидом Мецлером, работающим в области биохимии, молекулярной биологии и энзимологии. Отличительной чертой книги является рассмотрение материала в соответствии с химическими реакциями, происходящими в живой клетке, а не традиционно - по основным классам соединений.
По-моему, больше всего необходим подготовленным студентам, аспирантам или преподавателям биофаков университетов. Первое издание было очень давно (1980), но и с русским переводом. Второе - только на английском.
