Tutorial Indeed

When I bought this book, I was hoping to get a book which would drill in to specific details how dimensional modeling should be done in mysql environment. Physical design is not covered in this book at all.

I would say that this is a good book for those who wants to learn dimensional modeling in practice. This book covers most of the topics about dimensional modeling generally and gives practical MySql scripts with explanations that can be used to get things done. There is no business jargon or _long_ explanations why certain techniques should be used. This might be a good first book to read about the topic because you really can learn these topics in few days with this. After reading this, some of those Toolkit books doesn't feel as heavy as they would otherwise.
