Finnland erleben heißt nicht, das Nordkap in kürzester Zeit zu erreichen, dabei Rentiere umfahren und den Touristenlappen die Souvenierbude leerkaufen. Finnland beginnt dort, wo der Besucher ungeniert am Parlamentseingang nach dem Premierminister fragen kann, wo sich der Bischof dem Fremden mit seinem Namen vorstellt, wo die Supermarktkassiererin die Nerven der Wartenden strapaziert, indem sie dem Fremden von den eigenen Kindern im Ausland erzählt, wo am Wohnzimmertisch Ströme von Kaffee fließen und Tonnen von Pulla (Hefegebäck) vernichtet werden.
