I first found the Propaedia in a 642 page .doc that I reduced to 242 individual files that compiled into a useable format. The .chm's allow for an excellent table of contents to be set up. Basically, this is what Britannica used to create the 15th edition of its encylopedia. It is suppose to be the categories of all of human knowledge. Mortimer Alder and C. van Doren were behind this idea.

The Harvard Classics is another cannon of works and one of the series offered by Easton Press.

York's 3500 courses are, in that file, sorted by topic and therefore could serve as another indication of the categories of knowledge. All the more useful for undergrads there.
