    I have to stop downloading these CHM files. they are like dead weight and alot of these can load my PC and make it very heavy. The Problem after I downloadand go to open them I get the TOC but when I click on a link says that the page is not available and to check my Internet connection. can some one explain. Is anyone else having problems?


    I have the same problem in one of my machines, I think it is a problem related not to the MS CHM viewer itself, but with Internet Explorer and the MS firewall. I reinstalled WinXP (keeping the configuration) and that was no solution, then (as some MS note said) change the settings of the MS Firewall, and again no solution, then installed a CHM reader, and again no solution. I thought you must do a clean install to make the things work.

    Hey guys, the chm problem you are having can be fixed by right-clicking the file, choosing properties then click the unblock button at the bottom.

    There are 2 ways to solve this problem ...
1. is firewall/ublock as is told by stretch606 and UxKiller ..
2. is to copy to folder with short path since chm use ie and here we see trouble with using files who have more then 255 characters
