I think is time to stop mirroring.
The uploader must have a personal reason.
He is doing effort.Is not a member that occasionaly comes to the site to have a look for a few minutes.
Is posting many posts that means he is spending most of his time on the computer.
Also I noticed that when the file is biger than 5 mb he is using RS also,so to make it aveliable to people that have problem with the othet links.
That means that he does not have any personal hate for RS.
Must be a personal reason and I think we dodn't have the right to destroy somebody's
personal plans.Is violence.
If it wasn't of him and a few other posters avax wouuld be without thie excellent collection of books.
I use to mirror him as well,bur after mor mature thought I stopped.
Please stop as well.
After all is exhausting and nobody will consider you an hero.People just will take the RS link without even look who posted it.

P.S I am a RS Premium user.

I always APPRECIATE work from others who upload files, BUT selecting some 'stupid and expremely difficult to download' servers they just make the whole share very difficult to many of us.
The moderators must AT LEAST ask for RS link (note that 95% of the avaxhome users use RS, as I was told from moderators)
If no RS exists, they must allow RS...

I don't think that this is an excuse.
This is human greediness.
To post RS link means you have downloaded the file.
So you done it.
It just needs some patient.After all avax is for passing time.I should prefer also RS because I pay for it.
But you don't know the uploaders plan.
This attitude drives to wars.Is violent and then we question ourselve asking what goes wrong in the world.
Us is going wrong we are the enemies.
Please think it calmy.
It's also a kind of stealing.
You will collect points which do not belong to you and you may not need points but someone else might need them.
What a poor human beings we are !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Before this might heat up to much, please let me add a few words.

1. AvaxHome is a community for sharing, not a business platform for making quick money. This should be not forgotten by BOTH publishers and mirror guys.

2. Mirrors are part of sharing since sharing exist. In past they were mainly done to help the publisher to keep files alive and to help downloaders who have technical problems with a special server. Meanwhile most mirrors are done just for greedy reasons - but for a downloader who needs such a mirror this is not important.

3. Since the sad days when the "make money with downloads" campaigns of many file hosts started, we tried different rules to handle this problem. Our last rules - active since over 1 year now - might not be 101% perfect, but compared to older rules they work very well in MOST cases.

4. Our rules - the link to the AH Rules and FAQ is on top of each page! - are for all our users, including BOTH publishers and mirror creators. And somehow we expect that our users really READ and care about our rules. :-)


The situation here is very easy handled by our rules.

_IF_ a publisher gives at least 1 mirror himself, he **CAN** forbid adding of other mirrors.

On this page tot167 gave 2 links (deposit and uploading), so tot167 **CAN** forbid further mirrors. Tot167 was kind and did NOT add any words to forbid further mirrors, so it is fully OK if someone adds another mirror.


What tigerxx mentions here with the RS mirrors is a fully different story. It is part of the administrating executing rules we use in special cases not directly handled by the short written rules in the "Rules & FAQ" text.

Some "clever" guys try to abuse our mirror rules. They still try to force everyone to use their main link by giving as second download "choice" either a broken link or a link to a crap server with just 3 to 10 KB / sec download speed. This is no alternative for a download. The fact "2 links" fits to the written words of the mirror rules - but in such cases it does NOT fits not to our reason for the rules - to five a downloader at least 2 choices.

So, if in such a case a member adds a link to a fast and stable server like RS, we normally do NOT delete the FIRST good link.

But this does in no way mean that we want to open all doors to make greedy mirror guys more happy as our publishers :-) The additional administrative executing rules also take care for the context of the situation! For example, a few lines above I wrote "... we NORMALLY do NOT ...". The "normal" situation is, that such a mirror is created by a longtime member who just wants to help other downloaders, by a member, who SOMETIMES creates a mirror. Fully different is the situation if someone creates a new AH account and floods us in 2 or 3 hours with 50 or more mirrors. In such cases we for sure favor the publisher and act based on the the short published rules about mirrors.

Anyway, in MOST cases the short written rules in the FAQ fit very well - the real problem is, that many mirror creators AND many publishers just do not read them. Or they read and fully ignore.


AvaxHome is much too large that we could regular check any comment on any publication. It was just luck that I saw this discussion here. But all members can of course write a personal message to us whenever they see a REAL problem and we will take care. In easy-to-understand situations please send a mail to -=Pasha13=- in more complex situations better send it to me.
