The pictures in the folders themselves can be PCT format or JPEG - the program doesn't care which type is in the folder. (Hint JPEG will be smaller!). There is a distribution of Picture folders in JPG format at the Demonoid Torrent Site. You will only need to use the JPG distribution of the pictures if you reall want to squeeze as many languages on to a DVD as possible. (4) You've got to sort the configuration files there are three other files you need to copy into the new folder. CDID.TRS - this one tells the program which languages are installed CATMPC.TRS -this one tells the program which lessons are installed Credits.trs - the credits file contains the text that rolls by when you run the program For each language you want to include in your multipack you must paste the text from each CDID.TRS and CATMPC.TRS into your new composite CDID.TRS and CATMPC.TRS files. (you have to pay attention to line feeds in these files they should ideally be DOS line feeds. (If you really can't understand this you could use these files. The application must be installed on each of the client workstations. The data must be shared from the server. How it works: When launched from a workstation, the network version of the Rosetta Stone will search all physical and logical drive letters for Language Data. It identifies Language Data by the presence of the “cdid.trs”file in a folder at the root of the drive or volume. 1.Install the Language Data on the server. Create a new folder at the root level of the drive or volume. Copy the entire contents of the Language CDs to this folder. Click “Yes ”to overwrite any duplicate files. Share the folder. Set the sharing permissions for the folder to “Read Only ”for all users. 2.Install the Rosetta Stone Application on the client workstations. Insert the disc labeled “Application CD-ROM”. Follow the standard installation procedures in the User’s Guide. 3.Configure the workstations to use the shared Language Data. WINDOWS 98/Me or NT 4.0 Note: The Language Data must be at the root level of the mapped drive. Under “Network Neighborhood,“ locate and double-click on the computer sharing the Language Data. Right-click on the folder containing the Language Data and select “Map Network Drive.” Set the workstations to “Reconnect at logon“ to the network drive.
