Description

Mikhail Tal was born in 1936 in Riga. He learnt chess at an early age, but not too early. His childhood was disturbed by the Second World War. when his parents moved out of German-occupied territory to Iurla, a small village in the Urals. There his father continued in medical practice, returning after the war to Riga.
