qfile is trying to charge high rates based on capacity in GBytes which is not practical. They should try to charge downloaders the way Rapidshare and Megaupload is charging based on quarterly and yearly or lifetime accounts without any download limit on capacity.

Both uploaders and downloaders should work and support each other to make these storage providers to be more reasonable in their charges.
I am all for their charging a fee and I have paid for Premium accounts with Rapidshare and Megaupload as both are reasonable and their Premium service and speed are very good.

qfile must not be inflexible or otherwise, uploaders should avoid uploading their files to qfile but to other free storage providers like
mytempdir
and upload2net to name a few.

qfile is also tracking downloads by proxies which is not practical too. Different downloaders could come from the same proxy used by ISPs but qfile system just dont care. So long as the downloads from this proxy reaches its set limit...qfile system just block it.
If I am from the same proxy, then I had trouble downloading although it's my first time but because somebody else from the same proxy downloaded before me. Surely it's not the best way to track and limit Free downloaders. Now it gets so bad that my IP within the proxy is being blocked by hours.

At the same time, qfile is promoting their payable Premium account which is ok by me except their rates based on gbytes is not good. Rapidshare started with the same thing but soon they realised it is not a good deal for customers. They were quick to change it to a monthly and quarterly rates with no download limitations.

Uploaders, for your downloader friends and associates sake, try to avoid qfile and any others who are charging by quantity instead of a flat monthly or quarterly or yearly rate.

Don't be tempted by rewards from these storage providers but also work to help out your friends and associates who needs to download your files.

When qfile changed its rates to a flat rate, I will subscribe to their premium account. Until then, avoid uploading files to qfile

To Flasher8: thanks for your messages. I can consider uploading staff in near future to other filesharing servers you mentioned. But before I do this, I'd like to ask all visitors to express their opinion concerning the best filesharing server in comments.

An alle: Bitte teilen Sie hier mit, welche von weltberühmten Servers (wie Rapidshare, Qfile, mytempdir, upload2net, megaupload, usw.) für Sie am besten geeignet sind.

michel: Es macht keinen Sinn wenn wir ständig darüber diskutieren sollen, welcher Webhoster der beste sein soll, weil es "den besten" Webspace nicht gibt! Man wird immer jemanden finden, der zu jammern anfängt, weil er irgendein Problem mit einem Webhoster hat! So wie der Typ hier, der aus der Wahl des Webhosters eher eine Religion macht als eine nüchterne Entscheidung.
Wir hatten uns doch inzwischen auf den Kompromiss mit Qfile geeinigt, also wieso sollten wir jetzt schon wieder von vorne anfangen?
Megaupload ist völlig inakzeptabel, weil extrem unzuverlässig und extrem langsam. Rapidshare ist extrem schnell, aber leider haben einige mit dem Dienst ein Problem (und da inzwischen fast alle files dort gehostet werden, ist eine Alternative immer gut). Mytemdir fällt auch weg, da dort alle Files schon 14 Tage nach dem upload gelöscht werden, nur 25MB erlaubt sind und der Speed sehr stark schwankt. Upload2net bietet auch nur 25MB und ist zu neu um dem Dienst vertrauen zu können. Ich glaube nicht, dass dieser Dienst lange überleben wird, da er sich nur von Spenden finanziert. Man gibt dort selber an, dass man von den Spenden abhängig macht, ob der Dienst so weiter bestehen kann. Die beste Alternative ist und bleibt Qfile! Da kann der Kollege noch so viel heulen, die Mehrheit hat mit Qfile am wenigsten Probleme und ist damit sehr zufrieden, der Download funktioniert ohne Wartezeit und die Server sind inzwischen zuverlässiger erreichbar als Rapidshare.

Flasher8: Don´t make a religion or a stupid dogma out of the choice for a webhoster. It is nonsense to think you can force your will upon the firm. And it is even more nonsense if you think you can affect something, when we upload a few files more or less to it. You don´t have a clue how big the file-servers there are. Even if everybody on avaxhome stops uploading to qfile, be shure nobody will notice this change!
And If you cannot express your concern in german, you do not need this german magazine here anyway, am I right? ;-)

To everybody:
Why blame only one uploader for the distribution of the file? If only one out of the average 500-1000 downloaders make a mirror after downloading, the problem would be solved!

mailspamming: ich bin damit völlig einverstanden, dass es keinen besten Webshoster überhaupt gibt. Da es aber nur meine persöhnliche Entscheidung war, auf Qfile sich überzuwechseln, und niemand (außer dich) hat seine Meinung dazu geäußert, fragte ich immer um die Meinungen aller Besucher, um das Beste zu wählen. Wenn nirgendjemand etwas dagegen sagen kann, werde ich alles auf Qfile laden als vorher.

Qfile mag so gut gewesen sein. Jetzt isses KAPUTT. Kann jemand irgendwoanders sharen?
