Focusing on the development of the sarcoplasmic reticulum, Martonosi demonstrates the regulatory functions that control the production of its molecular components and investigates the interaction of these lipid and protein molecules with the myogenic, neurogenic and hormonal stimuli present in developing muscle cells.
