Thanks..

Does anybody has license?

Greatest share! But what about password? cisco/cisco and cisco/ciscoips4215 are wrong (

Hi Members,

I've downloaded the vmware ips image file and its indeed working fine. Please note that there are two links, one with a faulty ips image. The correct link is as below:

hXXp://www.netemu.cn/bbs/thread-3811-1-1.html

It has all the info you'd need. For those of you who have difficulty in understanding chinese, copy the chinese test and paste it to hxxp://translate.google.com and select "chinese to english(Beta).

Thanks..

Hope this help.

Thanks for the link. The image installed and booted fine. However, I can't get the host and the virtual IPS to talk.

Running vmware server on XP, VMNet1 adapter's IP: 192.168.88.1
Assigned all 3 interfaces of the IPS to the VMNet1 virtual network
went through the IPS setup and gave it IP address of 192.168.88.10/24 gateway: 192.168.88.1
changed access list to 192.168.88.0/24
can not ping ips from host or vise versa.

Would appreciate any help!

Dimka2000 I had this issue there is a bug in the VMware setup. You have to disable the VMware NICs (right click on the ions bottom right) then enable them again and your ping will start to work. Once the pings are working you will be able to SSH in.

Thank you very much, man. I really appreciate it! Everything works like a charm now smile.gif

wow

I have setup the VMware IPS image with 2 NIC on VMNet2 - 192.168.1.0/24 subnet. It runs fine and I can login & use the CLI in IPS. However, I am facing 2 issues with this image:

A. I can't reach the default gateway - 192.168.1.1 - from the IPS.
B. The IPS image has no license.

Please share your suggestions on this.

Thanks.

Ganeshen

You need to change the mapping of network in vmware network configuration
first ehternet to vmnet8
and set an ip to vmnet8 from same subnet 192.168.1.5/24 for example
It will be reachable.

I am using VMNet2 which has a subnet of 192.168.1.0/24. The VMWare IPS image is connected to this network - VMNet2. The IP addressing in the IPS is 192.168.1.8/24 gw 192.168.1.1. Ping from the IPS CLI to the gw (192.168.1.1) fails.

Yet, another VMware host attached to VMNet2 is able to reach the gw.

Can anyone suggest the pre-requisite for network setup (number of VMware network interfaces) in the IPS or maybe something else that could be causing this issue.

Thanks.
