For my 2 cents, it wasn't so much what went wrong at Enron, it is what went wrong with America. You gut the SEC and rules, oversight and enforcement of the above and guess what you get? Enron.

Don't have absolutely any rules regarding child-labor and working conditions and then express surprise that children are working 80 hrs/week in a coalmine.
